Dust extraction systems

Astra Impianti offers a wide range of industrial solutions for the extraction of different types of dust. Our suction systems result from decades of experience searching for valid and efficient solutions that guarantee optimal performance. The main types of dust filtration systems are:

• bag filters
• cartridge filters

Particular attention is paid to the choice of material, as no single filter media can work for all powders. In general, sleeves are better for the most problematic powders, even if this leads to more extensive and expensive filters. For simpler powders, cartridges that have more minor and, therefore, cheaper filters are usually indicated.

In both cases, particular attention will need to be paid to the material used and the filtration speed, which, in addition to the filter’s proper functioning, also affect the life of the filter medium and, therefore, the management costs.

These filters are equipped with a counter-current compressed air cleaning system. Cleaning is commanded when a specific pressure drop is reached on the sleeves or cartridges.

In some applications, we can install replaceable, disposable filters such as flat or wavy pre-filters, pocket or absolute filters.
