The primary need was to aspirate the fumes generated during the cutting of ingots, with temperatures that can reach 110°C. In this case, the system had to be built entirely within an existing room for which it was designed and sized according to the available spaces. Considering the fineness of the powders produced by this process, a filter with off-line cells has been designed. This filter facilitates the detachment of the powders from the sleeves and their deposition in the hopper during the cleaning phases.
The system was built using two parallel filters, each with a fan driven by a 90 kW motor. This configuration allows each filter to operate independently, allowing maintenance operations without stopping the entire production line.
The system includes a self-supporting chimney with a height of 18 metres and a diameter of 1,350 mm.
