The following precautions have been taken for the particular characteristics of the powders:
- The filter’s carpentry is made of stainless steel for the particularly corrosive environment
- Antistatic fabric sleeves were used instead of cartridges due to the presence of sticky powders
The protection systems compliant with ATEX regulations are:
- A chemical barrier in place of the flap valve to prevent the possible passage of a flame from the filter to the department through the pipes
- A vent membrane, positioned on the filter’s roof, compliant with EN14491 dust explosion venting protection system and EN14797 explosion venting devices
- A flame-proof rotary cell compliant with EN15089 on the filter discharge.
- The system’s total capacity is 4,500 m3/h, guaranteed by a fan with a 7.5 kW ATEX zone 22 motor.
