Filter cartridges were chosen for this system instead of the sleeves to reduce the filter size. Cartridges can be used with this powder type if the filtration speed is under 1 m/min. For logistical needs, the plant has been divided into four 10,000 m3/h modules that work in parallel for a total flow rate of 40,000 m3/h. In this case, no protection valves were installed on the duct, but a diverter was equipped with a vent membrane. A membrane complying with the EN14491 dust explosion venting protection system and EN14797 explosion venting devices have been installed on the filter’s roof. The filter discharge is equipped with a flameproof rotary cell compliant with EN15089.
