Extraction system of 1,000 m3/h for plastic extrusion fumes

A water blasting system was provided on an extrusion line, and a 30% soda solution could be injected to vary the pH.
A dosing pump connected to a probe that detects the solution’s pH performs this operation automatically.
The abatement of harmful substances is carried out by countercurrent spraying of the neutralising solution. This solution is sprayed by means of nozzles over the polypropylene filling bodies, which increases the contact surface.
A drop separator is installed at the top of the tower to retain the entrained liquids.
The crossing speed in the contact chamber was limited to 1mt/sec to better guarantee the substances’ abatement.
