This model of filter, used in various installations, has been designed to suck and filter air with potentially explosive dust.
To resize the filter, we used the filter cartridges instead of sleeves. The cartridges were suitably selected and sized for a filtration speed of under 1 m/min. The plant has been sized for potentially explosive powders with the following characteristics:
Kst: 300 bar*m/s
Pmax: 10 bar
The protection systems compliant with ATEX regulations are:
- A D.450 isolation flap valve compliant with EN16447 and EN15089 was installed on the suction pipe to stop the pressure wave and flame or, in some cases, chemical barriers
- A vent membrane, positioned on the filter’s roof, compliant with EN14491 dust explosion venting protection system and EN14797 explosion venting devices
- A flame-proof rotary cell compliant with EN15089 on the filter discharge.
The system’s total capacity is 10,000 m3/h, guaranteed by a fan with an 18.5 kW ATEX zone 22 motor managed by an electrical panel with a modulating inverter.
