BEAM PROTECTION FROM THERMAL IRRADIATION
In order to protect the beam from high thermal irradiation, which presents consequent structural problems, we created a paneling of layers of mineral wool and ceramic fiber. The effects of expansion had to be taken into account, as well. The outside of the panels is made of stainless steel AISI 304.

For this project, we designed and built customized aphonic booths with stainless steel panels that can be completely dismantled in order to facilitate maintenance operations. We created a filtered air intake for the motor and conveyed the cooling air outdoors.
